In Stateview Prison, as staff, you can attend sessions, to gain training and experience, or if you want to be promoted. There are 6 types of sessions.
Types of sessions[]
Shifts[]
Shifts are a type of session and are commonly reguarded as the most "basic" type of session. A regular shift usually involves the atendees performing regular prison "duties" like managing riots and containing the prison. It can be reguarded as playing reguarly.
A shift will be announced by this text via the 'h' command:
"There's a Shift being hosted in the session room, come and attend to show activity and possibly receive a promotion!"
Drills[]
Sometime within the shift, the Host/Supervisor may conduct a drill. In a shift, there are 3 types of drills.
- A lockdown drill
- This drill is the most common and is usually at the end of the shift. During this drill, the host/supervisor will activate the lockdown mechanic. During theis drill, the atendees are required to move all the inmates to their cells. During a lockdown, this is NOT concidered cuff abuse. This may last from 2 - 7 mins depending on the host/supervisor.
- The host/supervisor will announce this text in the drill :"There is an ongoing Lockdown Drill. All guards, please transport the inmates to their cells. During this Lockdown Drill, locking inmates in their cells will not be considered cuff abuse. The only personnel allowed in the Control Room (CR) are SI+.”
- A blackout Drill
- During this drill, the power in the facility will be turned off. In order to operate this drill, the Host/Co-host will give the role 'Drill Instructor' to a player who wil monitor this drill. During this drill, the atendees are required to move all the inmates to the cell block (NOT IN THEIR CELLS) until the power has been restored.
- PLEASE NOTE: You will NOT be able to acess the radio, Lockdown systems as well as all the lights will be turned off.
- This drill is quite rare due to the amount of work required to opperate this drill.
- In the announcement of this drill, the host/supervisor will say: "There is an active Blackout. Please relocate all inmates to the cell-block. Guards and staff are to remain in the cell-block. No one should be in the hallways.”
- The host/supervisor may say a pre-drill text 3 times to ensure that all atendees knows what is happening.
- A Evacuation (evac) drill
- During a evacuation drill, the normal LD lights will flash yellowish orange. During this drill, all staff will be required to move the inmates to the area outside of the inmate yard gate (More infomation found in the forums below). This drill requires 2 Drill Instructors which will be chosen by the Host/Co-host.
- The evacuation drill is the most rarest, requiring a lot of cordiation as well as supposidly requiring a memeber of the Overseer Command in order to trigger this drill.
- The host/supervisor will anounnce this text 3 times before the drill: " We are planning an evacuation drill. Please ensure you are aware of your role and follow instructions carefully.”
- During the evacuation drill, the host/supervisor will announce this text: “There is an active evacuation. Please transfer all inmates out of the prison to the yard-exit. Follow proper protocol.”
At the end of every drill, the host/supervisor will say: “The situation has been resolved. Facility operations have been resumed.
